Swot Analysis

1.Strengths- I feel some of my best strengths throughout this class would have to be my ideas for some of my videos as well as having a really clear understanding of what the expectations were for the projects. Some other strengths would have to be an understanding of technology and software programs. I used this knowledge in my advantage and found it to be very helpful throughout this course. Another strength would have to been staying unique. I feel that all of my videos were pretty original and videos that I can call my own.

"In this very public world we live in, there is no room for the fake, the foolish, or the downright manipulative. If you post a commercial and try to pass it off as a user-generated video on YouTube, you will get caught." The Age of Engage- Denise Shiffman

2.Weaknesses- I had some weaknesses throughout this course for sure. I feel some of my main ones were finding mistakes after my videos had already been posted. Another weakness would have to be not staying on top of getting hits, not networking with others as much as I should have and not using todays technology to its fullest advantage.

"The Live Web is about openness, sharing, collaborating, and interacting. Companies that incorporate these elements empower their organizations' ability to innovate, establish differentation, and connect with their audiences." The Age of Engage- Denise Shiffman

3.Opportunities- Some opportunities that I have acted on so far would have to be social interaction amognst others and getting to see some things in different ways and this better helped me along the way. Through this course I was able to see a whole other level of creativity amongst others.

"Innovative companies are creating a corporate culture that encourages thinking outside the old corporate box, as well as the competetive box and industry box. In this way, product team ventures are free to create, think for themselves, and grab what feels right for the product service, and partnerships they are creating." The Age of Engage- Denise Shiffman

Some opportunities that I feel that I missed out on would maybe be not involving myself in enough social networking sites. I feel that I only got a taste of it and their is a whole world of opportunity out there especially with todays technological advancements.

"Openness, sharing, and collaboration create a broader opportunity for innovation, constant value creation, and a prosperous feedback loop. No matter how smart your team or ad agency is, great ideas come from anywhere." The Age of Engage- Denise Shiffman

4.Threats- Some threats I had would have to be not feeling confident enough in my work. Definately market changes played a role as well. It was difficult to decide what to create that a large amount of people would want to see. Things change constantly viewers expectations and interests are always fluctuating.

"We're in the midst of great change, and it's this change from the static, flat, corporate-created Web to the interactive, social, user-created Web that has accelerated consumer influence. And this is just the beginning." The Age of Engage- Denise Shiffman
